Island Cruises to offer Barbadian Weddings

It has been revealed that the most popular destination for overseas wedding nuptials is exotic locations such as the Caribbean islands. There has been a huge growth in the number of people choosing to get married abroad, Carol Richardson, a spokesperson for wedding specialist Confetti, said.

A number of cruise lines offer the opportunity to be married at sea and now Island Cruises are launching a Caribbean weddings programme in Barbados which includes onboard ceremonies, while land-based venues are available at a supplemental cost. Couples wanting to exchange their vows at sea will have the chance to do this whilst combining their wedding with a luxury Caribbean cruise.

Island Cruises have also recently announced their Mediterranean itinerary for summer 2009, which includes new ports of call in Elba, Calvi, Cannes and Trapani in Sicily. They have also announced a fly-cruise itinerary called Mediterranean Splendour which includes calls to Naples, Civitavecchia, Calvi and Mahon and is aimed at previous customers.
